The 12 International Conference : Embarking on Transformative Changes for Better Future: Enabling Public Service Delivery Through Customer Experience on 28-29 March 2024; about One-Stop Centres

JFCCT people played a contributive role in this conference (28 and 29 March), organised by OPDC (Office of Public Sector Development Commission) and Ministry of Interior and Safety, Republic of Korea.

The sessions covered experience with One Stop Centres from Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia, the BOIs OSOS, SEC, IEAT, Customs, the World Bank Group, JFCCT’s perspective and experience, and Thailand’s current foray into regulatory reform.

  • Dr Kongkiti Phusavat (JFCCT Education & Skills Committee Chair) was Moderator for all sessions and a curator of the event, and provided dual language summaries.

  • Ms Vibeke Lyssand Leirvag, JFCCT Chairwoman spoke on 29 March on challenges with One Stop Centres, progress with advances in service and how One Stop Centres can best meet the needs of foreign investors.  The encouragement for the public, private, and academic partnership was made to help enrich future gatherings and conferences

  • Mr Bob Fox, JFCCT Chair Digital Economy/ICT, Head of Climate group, and JFCCT Policy Co-Ordinator, presented on 28 March about the secret sauces of One Stop Centres – digitalisation, removal of unwanted and unnecessary laws, digitally enabling laws, interoperability, single sign-on, co-operation amongst agencies, and the need for obsession with closure of client issues. Learning from successful examples can show a way forward.

JFCCT is grateful to OPDC for the engagement and continues to follow up on the drive to support investors and good business. Support services such as One Stop Centres play a key role in attracting and retaining foreign investment.
