Director Forum: “Better Governance, Better Business: Thailand’s Progress” – 4th April 2018

Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD), co-hosted by the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand, organised the Director Forum on the topic of “Better Governance, Better Business: Thailand's Progress" on April 4, 2018 at 8.30 – 12.00 hrs. at Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok Hotel. The forum aims to update the directors about the progress of corporate governance, sustainability and anti-corruption in Thai business.

During the past few years, the global corporate governance landscape has adjusted according to the changing business environment. An expectation of investors focuses on the business sustainability, consideration on all stakeholders (not just the shareholders) and leadership role of the board of directors on, for example, a strategy and risk.

In Thailand, a strong collaboration among capital market organizations has enabled corporate governance in the Thai capital market to progress in many areas. These organisations have attentively followed the changing trends, made the adjustment accordingly and arranged various supporting activities.
